Apple's New App Aims to Support Prediabetes Management Through Lifestyle Changes
The app is unlikely to be commercialized; however, its goal is to assist individuals with prediabetes in making lifestyle changes.
Apple has long been rumored to be working on a noninvasive blood sugar monitoring system.
Innovative Technology for Noninvasive Blood Sugar Monitoring on the Horizon
According to a report from Bloomberg , the company has been testing an app that helps people with prediabetes better manage their condition.
Citing unnamed Apple sources, Bloomberg notes that the app asked Apple employees to validate their prediabetes via a blood test. Employees then monitored their blood sugar levels using “various commercially available devices” and recorded changes related to the food they ate.
Advances in blood sugar monitoring technology
We hope that technology will develop wearable devices that make the lives of diabetics easier and allow them to enjoy their food like healthy people without fear.
